剧情简介: An impassioned and abstract portrayal of the transitional stages of physical and mental development in the life of a young boy. It is a ten minute mystery drama where a seemingly conventional story of a pre-adolescent struggle with puberty is being reinvented into a symbolic \'montage\' of basic human emotions - an exploration of personal and physical identity. This somehow grotesque take on sexual awakening, sociopathic parenting and the stereotypes of \'becoming a man\' tells a story of a boy named Tom who becomes an unwitting \'hero\' with a yellow circle. Being a victim of his abusive parents who are trying to treat their son of his nocturnal \'malady\' with a tactic of shaming and punishing, the boy goes on a quest to defy his tormentors. The outcome of the quest marks the end of Tom\'s childhood and the beginning of his adolescence. After killing a cuckoo bird and being forced to eat the dead animal the boy goes through a transformation and experiences the spring of his own mental and physical autonomy, now signaled with each note of the cuckoo\'s call.
