剧情简介: This film follows the process of rethinking and establishing a new Christmas ritual in the city of Copenhagen. It focuses on a grassroots collective that is assigned by the City Council to make alternative Christmas trees for the local square, and traces the process of collecting recycled materials and creatively using them to fashion a new Christmas tree made from scratch with spray-cans, bike wheels, and home-made electric generators. Apart from an interest in ritual, the film also captures the flows of materials that are collected, worked on, and reused by the collective. Finally, the film shows the launching of the tree in a Christmas celebration where neighborhood people, urban subcultures, and local councils converge.
